NEW DELHI:  In seven months, the first batch of Indian women will begin to train as fighter pilots of the Indian Air Force in a move that breaks a glass ceiling that has existed for decades.
In another year following that, with the Ministry of Defence giving its nod for their induction in combat roles, the first Indian women combat pilots will be in the cockpits of frontline fighter jets of the Air Force in June 2017.

Singer Adnan Sami likely to get Indian citizenship





New Delhi: Bollywood singer Adnan Sami is all set to become an Indian citizen. According to reports, the singer is likely to be granted Indian citizenship.
In August, Adnan Sami was allowed to stay indefinitely in India following non-renewal of his Pakistan passport.

New Delhi: In the wake of the gang rape of two minor girls in Delhi, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday took on the Centre over policing and said he will not let Prime Minister Narendra Modi sleep “peacefully” if such incidents recur.

Maintaining that ‘jungle raj’ prevailed in the national capital, Kejriwal called for handing over law and order to his dispensation for one year. “The Prime Minister must understand I am not (previous Chief Minister) Sheila Dikshit. I will not remain silent.
