Groundnut oil slips on subdued demand

Mumbai, Jan 9 (PTI) Groundnut oil slipped at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today following subdued demand from stockists and retailers amidst ample arrivals from producing belts.

While, refined palmolein edged up owing to good offtake from retailers.

In the non-edible, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial gained further owing to sustained demand from soaps and shipping industries.
Linseed oil ruled steady in absence of any worthwhile buying.

In the edible segment, groundnut oil fell by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 1,010 from last Friday's close of Rs 1,020, However, refined palmolein moved up by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 617 as against Rs 615 previously.

Moving to non-edible section, castorseeds bold rose by Rs 20 per 100 kg to Rs 3,920 from Rs 3,900 and castoroil commercial went up by Rs 4 per 10 kg to Rs 814 compared to Rs 810 last weekend.

Linseed oil ended unaltered at Rs 950 per 10 kg. - PTI
