Data is going to drive Telecom Industry in near future-Manoj Sinha India to emerge as a major player in 5G Subscriptions by 2022

The Minister of Communications Shri Manoj Sinha said that the Telecom Ministry is dealing with an extremely dynamic industry and progressive market which is evolving at an extremely rapid rate. He said that with the increase in usage of Smartphones and an exponential increase in broadband usage, data is going to drive industry more and more rather than voice and therefore, the Ministry has initiated a move to relook at the current Telecom Policy through public consultation, as the need of the hour is to ramp up for the Digital era. Speaking at the 10th Anniversary Celebrations of IPTV Society here, Shri Sinha said that whether it is broadband spectrum, Internet adoption/availability, data protection, or cyber security, what was applicable five years back is no more relevant in today’s context, and new policies will need to be futuristic. They will also need to be capable of dealing with India’s challenges and figuring out ways to deal with those challenges.

  3. Visit incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in and link Aadhaar, it adds
Linking of Aadhaar with PAN or Permanent Account Number has been made compulsory for filing tax returns. While Aadhaar-PAN linking will be mandatory for filing income tax returns, it will also be required for obtaining a new PAN. Aadhaar, a 12-digit identity number based on biometrics, can be linked with the PAN, a 10-digit alphanumeric ID number for tax returns, in a number of ways. The Income Tax Department has lately come out with many communications asking potential taxpayers to carry out Aadhaar-PAN linking.

Among the latest moves by the taxman to encourage Aadhaar-PAN linking was an email received by many individuals. In the email, addressed to the taxpayers, the Income Tax Department's e-filing team said: "As per section 139AA of the Income Tax Act, 1961, it is mandatory for taxpayers to link their Aadhaar with PAN for filing Income Tax Return from 1-July-2017."

The e-filing team also mentioned two ways on the income tax e-filing portal - incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in - to link Aadhaar with PAN: by using 'Link Aadhaar' under the services section on home page and by using 'Link Aadhaar' under 'Profile Settings' after logging into your e-filing account. While the first option is for users unregistered on the e-filing website, the second is for registered users having login ID.

Here's how you can do this:

For unregistered users

Watch Out! Smelling Food May be Linked With Weight Gain: Experts
Highlights
  • Our sense of smelling food is the key to enjoy different delicacies
  • The odour of food can play a key role in how the body deals with calories
  • Mere smelling of food can now make you fat
Out of all the senses gifted to us, smelling is one of the strongest of them. And smelling food is the key to enjoying distinct delicacies. But looks like mere smelling of food can now make you fat if studies are to be believed. According to studies conducted in University of California, Berkley, the odour of what we eat can play a crucial role in how the body deals with calories. If you cannot smell your food, you may burn it rather than store it. Read on as we tell more about the key findings of the research.
These results in the studies point to a key connection between the olfactory or smell system of the body and regions of the brain that regulate metabolism, specifically hypothalamus, though the neural circuits are still unknown. Céline Riera, a former UC Berkeley postdoctoral fellow noted, "This paper is one of the first studies that really shows if we manipulate olfactory inputs we can actually alter how the brain perceives energy balance, and how the brain regulates energy balance."
